Marathon training the first round changed how I thought about running. I used to run when I felt like it or had an open schedule for it. Training taught me to fit in whatever miles I could whenever I could.
I celebrated Global Running Day with this exact mindset: get in whatever run I can today. A last minute errand cut into my scheduled running time and all I managed was a measly two miles.
My route took me past places I’d never noticed before with some surprisingly funky views. It was a great break in a day that began with yoga and ended with a late and lengthy meeting.
